Metaphoriclally speaking, of course, in reading a number of recent tweets and articles Marianne Williams has written, I found them bold, audsious and beyond the mainstream narrative relative all that which is going on in the world and more importantly what needs to happen to make the world what we want it to be for all to enjoy and thrive.

  • "We’re living in revolutionary times. And they’re revolutionary because they have to be. The way we are living on the earth, the way we’re organizing human civilization, is literally unsustainable. We know in our hearts that there must be a better way."
  • Even after the catastrophe in Afghanistan, or perhaps because of it, the military industrial complex is working to protect their profits. Unbelievable.
  • “If we’re really serious about transforming the world, the spiritual seeker doesn’t get a pass on addressing the suffering of other sentient beings & the political activist doesn’t get a pass on cleaning up our own heart. It’s an inside AND an outside job.”
  • "One reason the debacle in Afghanistan happened is because reporters took what WH & Pentagon told them & never really asked questions, dug deep, researched & investigated. And they’re doing it now! They just take their word for things. “Here’s today’s report on how great we are.”
  • "Mainstream news reporters attend briefings by State Department, White House and Pentagon spokespeople and then report it like it’s news. That’s not news, guys!! It’s basically state run TV."

"This is not a time to sit back, to simply wait and see. We were not born to be mere observers to world events; we were born to be conscious actors. This is a time to make a serious commitment to whichever world we wish to pass on to our children. The forces of hate are already on the march; the forces of love now need to gather".
